Yearbook pickup information The 2008 Hart yearbooks are in! Students: to pick up your copy, e-mail yearbook adviser Phyllis Hartwig, and she will send your book to the attendance office. You can then pick it up any time after the next morning. Join the Miege Activities Booster Club The Miege Activities Booster Club helps support all of Miege's student activities - everything from athletics to the performing arts. As a member, you receive some great benefits, but the greatest benefit is knowing that you're helping Miege's spirited student body. Back to School Night Back-To-School Night will take place Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Miege. All parents are encouraged to attend. Host families needed for 2008-2009 Each year, Bishop Miege has the opportunity of accepting a qualified foreign exchange student. Usually, the most difficult part of the process is finding a host family. The Miege Miracle When Miege science teacher Alan Thomas borrowed a pulse oximeter for a class demonstration this spring, sophomore Patrick Moore noticed something unusually wrong when it was his turn to measure his heart rate. A quick follow-up by nurse Maura Peterson led to a series of events that may have saved Patrick's life. Carlos Rosales wins Wicina Trophy This spring, senior Carlos Rosales received the Wicina Wrestling Trophy. This award is presented annually at the Metro Classic, an event featuring the best senior wrestlers from Kansas against the best senior wrestlers from Missouri within the Kansas City metropolitan area. Cross Country: 98% free If you have chosen to run cross country this fall, be sure to free up at least 2% of your time this summer. For the uninitiated runner, committing this time to training will build an adequate aerobic base for the fall. Senior Picture information To appear in the 2009 yearbook, individual senior photographs must be taken by Miege's official school photographer, DeCloud Studios. The sitting fee for the senior yearbook photo is $10, due at the time of the sitting. Photos must be taken by Friday, Sept. 5. Stag Robotics take second at Regionals The Stag Robotics Team returned to the Kansas City Regional FIRST Robotics Competition in March and came home with second place.
