Here is your December Service Calendar. This calendar reflects all the service opportunities that are currently available for our students. Bishop Miege sponsors all items listed in bold type while the other activities are community opportunities. Service Projects not sponsored by Bishop Miege often require pre registration, check with the CMT office with any questions.

Gordon Parks Tutoring – This is an opportunity for our students to help tutor young students who are from a lower socioeconomic environment – we will be helping them with their reading and act as mentors for them.

We will also assist with several holiday events – listen to announcements for more details.

If you are interested in any of the service projects listed, please come by the CMT office and sign up. The sign up table is located outside the CMT office.

You could also contact your local parish, as they have plenty of opportunities as well.

Remember all students must complete 80 service hours, 40 of which MUST be preformed in the Less Fortunate category.

Class of 2013 – You must complete 80 hours, with 40 hours in Less Fortunate AND 10 hours in your Parish or Church.

Rivals for Peace: Sept. 11, 2009

Students from Bishop Miege and St. Thomas Aquinas combined forces to gather care packages for soldiers serving in Iraq. They assembled the packages in the Miege Commons before the Miege-Aquinas football game on Sept. 11, 2009.
