Urban Plunge in Chicago, IL
Chicago, Illinois, is one of the largest cities in the United States. It is filled with Michigan Avenue, wonderful museums and a beautiful lakefront. Along with the many sites to see, this city struggles with unemployment and poverty like all major cities in our country. This trip is a Catholic outreach program to meet those needs. The trip includes working with young inner city children, food kitchens & other projects in the city. If we have enough students we will stay at the International Hostel downtown and travel by Amtrak train to the city. We will experience the Catholic traditions as well as enjoy some of the many wonders of the city.
