Camp MITIOG (Made In the Image of God)-July 23-29,2010, Excelsior Springs, MO.

This is a summer camp for children ages7-16 who have Spina Bifida, a neurological birth defect.  Campers vary in physical limitationsfrom full use of wheelchairs to support devices for walking.  Counselors must be 16 or older, have ahigh maturity level, and be hard working. For more information you can contact Nancy Krahl at 816-221-4450. SUPERKIDSASTHMA DAY CAMP-JULY 12-16 (for grades 1-3), JULY 26-30 (for grades 4-6)9AM-4PM.

They arelooking for volunteers to help with the campers while they learn about asthmaand participate in games, crafts, and outdoor activities including swimming. Sanctuary of Hope Work Days-Second Saturday ofeach moNth  8am-noon.

WAYNE COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA APPALACHIA MISSION TRIP: June12-19.

Cost: $350.00.We will be repairing homes of the less fortunate or elderly in the mountaincommunity. It is also very similar to the mission trip over spring break. Weneed 7-10 students! Mrs. Perrini and Mr. Sulzen will be heading up this trip.If you are interested you can pick up forms in the CMT office or you can emailMr. Sulzen at rsulzen@kc.rr.com.


Summer Sensation (Youth Volunteer Corps of Greater KC)-

Projects are Mon-Thurs. 9am-3pmfrom June 2nd to July 31st. You must attend oneorientation session (May 31st or June 1st at noon or 6pm) at 4600 W. 51st, Suite 300.  Volunteer for one week or several.  Space is limited to 15 youth a week.  Apply soon to get your choice projects.  Some projects are already full. SUMMERTUTORING for the UPPER ROOM at ALTA VISTA: JUNE 15th-AUGUST 7th FROM8AM-12PM.

We will be conducting weekly food drives at local Hyvee stores, each week we willspend about 20 hours doing this. If you are interested in a 4-hour shift please contact Mary Long at913-433-2081.

Once you have conducted yourcommunity service please remember to collect documentation from theorganization that states what you did and the number of hours youvolunteered.  Once you have that,you should complete a BMHS Service Hour form and turn into the Campus MinistryOffice.
