Fundraising Events

In addition to the support of donors who contribute to the Annual Fund, memorials, and special campaigns, many alumni, parents, students, past parents and friends of Miege also participate in our special events and fundraisers.

Auction
The Miege Auction, the school's largest annual fundraiser, is held in April. Our auction offers live and silent auction items, buffet dinner, beverages and fellowship. Many volunteer opportunities are available as well as opportunities to become involved by donating auction gifts or underwriting this special event.

Miege Open Golf Tournament
The Miege Open Golf Tournament is held each fall. Bob Frazier, a former Miege principal, and several Miege alumni founded this tournament. It has continued, for 30 years, to be an event the entire Miege community anticipates. The goal of the tournament is to provide scholarships for needy students. The 30th annual Miege Open was held Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at Leawood South Country Club.

Danny Morris 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
The Danny Morris 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament was started in 1995, in Danny's honor, to raise money for scholarships for students who might not otherwise be able to attend Miege. Danny was a 1992 alumnus whose life ended tragically in an automobile accident in January of 1993. He was a three-sport athlete who was known by his coaches for giving 110 percent. His life and spirit touched the lives of many, as did his love. The tournament is held each year on the last Saturday of July in the Miege parking lot. The 15th annual tournament took place Saturday, July 25, 2009.
