Bishop Miege High School
- Abby McNitt (sophomore) was selected for the KMEA NE District Choir! Abby performed was one of over 200 sopranos who auditioned and one of approximately 120 chosen. She attended a miniconvention on Dec. 5 and performed with the Honor Choir at Shawnee Mission West High School.
- Sophomore's Ben Grove and Allison Pope competed at the Regional Piano Festival at Baker University on Feb. 6th. They both received I ratings and went on to compete at State Piano Festival Feb. 20 at Wichita State University. Ben received a II rating and Allison received a I rating. Congratulations to both!
- Several of the choir members attended Harmony Explosion on Feb. 20th at Olathe East High School. Students participated in a large chorus workshop and 2 quartets competed that day. The chance to proceed to finals is based on number of points given for the preliminary performance. Those students then perform again and points are added. Bronze, Silver and Gold medals are awarded. Those receiving over 1,000 points are awarded the gold medal. the quartet STAG TONES was awarded a gold medal and received 2nd place overall in the men's senior division! Quartet members are Kevin Alejo-Morgan (11), Tyler Horseman (12), William Spears (12) and Patrick Tarwater (11). Congratulatios Stag Tones!
- There will be a Barbershop Concert given by District Champs Central Standard Chorus at Bishop Miege on April 8th at 7pm. The chorus will be joined by our very own Stag Singers and will feature the Stag Tones Quartet! Admission is $5.00 and tickets may be purchased during lunch the week before the concert or at the door.
