Earning College Credit

Dual Enrollment
Bishop Miege students may participate in dual enrollment (the College Now program) by attending approved classes at Miege for which college credit may be obtained at Johnson County Community College and Benedictine College. (Registration with Benedictine College is handled at Miege through our business office; JCCC enrollment and payment are completed at www.jccc.edu). Fees range from $93-$100 a credit hour.  More than 60 college credit hours are available from the following courses:

AP Calculus AB/BC
AP Chemistry
AP French III, IV
AP Government
AP Literary Analysis
AP Spanish III, IV
AP Statistics
AP Studio Art
AP U.S. History (to 1877)
AP U.S. History (from 1877)

Advanced Placement
Bishop Miege students may earn college credit by taking advanced placement classes at Miege and taking the A.P. exams in May. Advanced Placement credits are widely accepted, but colleges and college departments vary considerably on score requirements and credit awarded. 

Miege students have taken A.P. exams and successfully earned college credits in English, American History, Studio Art, Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Foreign Languages, AP Studio Art, AP Composition and Language.
